High Voltage Safety

Fall Protection

CPR and First Aid

30 Hour OSHA

Employees on the job site have the necessary skills to perform their craft in a safe, workman like manner.  They are familiar with operations of systems and the equipment required to install them.

Jobsite training is conducted to ensure all persons are up to date on annually required topics, including  Hazardous Communications, Personal Protective Equipment and Energized Electrical work Procedures/NFPA 70 compliance.

Weekly toolbox talks are held to keep the workforce informed of changes in operations or work methods.  The weekly meeting serves as a reminder of requirements needed to maintain a safe workplace.

Additional programs the Silas Bolef Company utilizes include the Mid Atlantic Construction Safety Council training programs.  Vendor specific training is provided for equipment such as scissors lifts, powder actuated tools, meters and test equipment.

As indicated in the Silas Bolef Company Safety Policy, subcontractors will submit to the Silas Bolef Company Subcontractor Policy.  This policy holds the subcontractors to the same high standard of accountability that the Silas Bolef Company employees are held.

Safety Observation Report Program

Safety Observation Reports of past projects have proven effective to alert management to unsafe acts or conditions.  SORs allow the general worker avenues to anonymously report unsafe conditions to the safety director.

Substance Abuse Policy

As indicated in the Silas Bolef Company Safety Policy, drug and alcohol use will not be permitted on our jobsites or in our vehicles.  Persons will not be permitted to work while under the influence.
